Training programs for Hispanic entrepreneurs

The Hispanic Entrepreneurs Academy is a non-profit organization that trains Hispanic entrepreneurs in the United States. Our programs are not just theory: they are the real steps to create, formalize, and grow a business, explained in Spanish and applied to the U.S. regulatory and commercial context.

Many Hispanic entrepreneurs face the same three barriers: lack of information in their language, unfamiliarity with legal and tax processes, and a lack of practical support when it comes time to make decisions. Our programs exist to eliminate these three barriers.

Modular Training Program

The curriculum is in Spanish and organized into ten modules that cover the complete business cycle, from idea to operation:

Business Fundamentals

  • Business model and validation — how to prove that your idea has a market before investing, and how to identify what makes you different from the competition (USP)

Formalization and compliance

  • Company creation and legal status — what structure suits your case and how to set it up
  • Business taxes — Tax obligations in the United States, explained in Spanish
  • Business Insurance — what coverage does your operation need
  • Basic Human Resources — what you should know before hiring your first person
  • Legal framework in Tennessee — state and local licenses and permits, consumer protection, trademarks and copyrights, contracts and data protection

Finance

  • Banking and finance in Tennessee — how to open business accounts, separate your personal finances from your business finances, read your numbers, and anticipate liquidity problems

Growth and communication

  • Applied digital marketing — website, Google Business Profile and Meta Ads
  • Public Speaking and Business Presentation — how to present your project to clients and investors
  • Leadership and soft skills — how to lead a team and sustain the business over time

Mentoring and support

Training alone doesn't change results. That's why each participant has access to guided sessions to apply what they've learned to their specific situation: defining next steps, reviewing key business documents, and tracking progress.

It's not a generic consultancy. It's working on your business, with your numbers and your pending decisions.

Downloadable Resources

Each module delivers materials you can use right away: checklists, cash flow templates, and reference guides to consult after the class.

Who are these programs for?

Our programs are designed for Hispanic adults—including Hispanic veterans—who:

  • They have a business idea and don't know how to start formalizing it.
  • They already operate a business informally and want to formally establish it.
  • They need to understand the American legal and tax system in their own language.
  • They are looking for practical support, not just isolated information.
