La Academia de Hispanos Emprendedores abre a la comunidad de Clarksville sus becas de Google Career Certificates
Las becas cubren el costo completo del certificado y ocho de ellos se pueden cursar en español; las postulaciones abrieron el 10 de octubre y cierran el 2 de noviembre.
CLARKSVILLE, Tennessee — La Academia de Hispanos Emprendedores, organización sin fines de lucro 501(c)(3) que forma a dueños de negocio hispanos en Clarksville, Tennessee, abrió al público general las postulaciones a sus becas de Google Career Certificates el sábado 10 de octubre de 2026, durante la ceremonia de graduación de su Clase 2026.
Las becas cubren el costo completo de un Certificado Profesional de Google en Coursera, sin costo para el becario. La organización fue aceptada como Grow with Google Partner el 19 de agosto de 2026 y autorizada para distribuir Google Career Certificate Scholarships el 20 de agosto de 2026.
Ocho de los certificados se pueden cursar en español: Análisis de Datos, Gestión de Proyectos, Diseño UX, Ciberseguridad, Soporte de TI, Marketing Digital y E-Commerce, IA de Google e Inteligencia Empresarial. Hay certificados adicionales disponibles en inglés con subtítulos en español. En el formulario, el postulante elige sus certificados en orden de preferencia.
«Para mucha gente aquí la barrera nunca fue la capacidad: era que se le pidiera aprender en un idioma que todavía está dominando», dijo María Jiménez, directora de la Academia de Hispanos Emprendedores. «Estos certificados existen en español, no le cuestan nada al becario y llevan al tipo de trabajo por el que están contratando las empresas de esta región. Nuestro trabajo es que la gente de Clarksville lo sepa y pueda entrar de verdad».
QUIÉN PUEDE POSTULAR. Residentes de Clarksville y sus alrededores, de 18 años en adelante. No se requiere experiencia previa ni título.
CÓMO POSTULAR. Las postulaciones se reciben en academiahispanosemprendedores.org/beca y cierran el 2 de noviembre de 2026. Las becas se asignan por evaluación de cada solicitud, no por orden de llegada. El primer grupo comienza el 10 de noviembre de 2026.
SOBRE LOS CERTIFICADOS. Según Google, más de 400.000 personas en Estados Unidos han completado un Google Career Certificate y el 75% reporta un resultado positivo en su carrera —un nuevo empleo, un ascenso o un aumento— dentro de los seis meses siguientes. Los certificados cuentan con una recomendación del American Council on Education de hasta 16 créditos universitarios.
SOBRE LA CEREMONIA DEL 10 DE OCTUBRE. Veinte dueños de negocio de Clarksville se graduaron del programa presencial en español de la Academia: seis semanas, diez clases de dos horas cada una, sobre registro de empresas, contabilidad, impuestos, leyes de negocio, seguros, recursos humanos, mercadeo y oratoria, dictado por profesionales que ejercen en cada área. Gloria Bonilla, elegida presidenta de la clase por sus propios compañeros, dio las palabras de cierre.

ACADEMIA DE HISPANOS EMPRENDEDORES OPENS GOOGLE CAREER CERTIFICATE SCHOLARSHIPS TO CLARKSVILLE RESIDENTS
Nonprofit will award full scholarships that can be taken in English and Spanish; applications opened October 10 and close November 2.
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Academia de Hispanos Emprendedores, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that trains Hispanic business owners in Clarksville, Tennessee, opened applications for Google Career Certificate and AI training scholarships to the general public on Saturday, October 10, 2026, during the graduation ceremony of its Class of 2026.
The scholarships provide access to the Google Career Certificates and AI training, at no cost to the recipient. Many Google Career Certificates can be studied in Spanish: Data Analytics, Project Management, UX Design, Cybersecurity, IT Support, Digital Marketing & E-commerce, Business Intelligence, and the AI Professional Certificate. Additional certificates are available in English with Spanish subtitles. Applicants select their preferred certificates, in order of preference, on the application form.
«For a lot of people here, the barrier was never ability — it was being asked to learn in a language they are still working on,» said María Jiménez, director of Academia de Hispanos Emprendedores. «These certificates exist in Spanish, they cost the scholarship recipient nothing, and they lead to the kind of work employers in this region are hiring for. Our job is to make sure people in Clarksville know that and can actually get in.»
WHO CAN APPLY. Residents of Clarksville and the surrounding area, ages 18 and older. No previous experience or degree is required.
HOW TO APPLY. Applications are submitted at academiahispanosemprendedores.org/beca and close on November 2, 2026. Scholarships are awarded by review of each application, not on a first-come, first-served basis. The first group begins November 10, 2026.

Twenty business owners from Clarksville graduated from the academy’s six-week, in-person, Spanish-language business program: ten classes of two hours each, covering business registration, accounting, taxes, business law, insurance, human resources, marketing, and public speaking, taught by professionals practicing in each field. Gloria Bonilla, elected class president by her classmates, delivered the closing remarks.
